##EMERGENCY ALERT!##
This is a red letter day in Steem history!
@freebornangel is coming out in favor of vote selling!
Yes! You heard that right!
I am officially sanctioning the use of all vote buying!
Im sure the bot owners are overjoyed with my approval.
/S
With a caveat, of course.
You knew there was a catch, didnya?
Vote sellers have no motive to sell votes without a profit incentive, yes?
No reason to sell without getting paid.
We are playing crapitalism after all, yes?
Currently they get paid whatever they charge, plus 25% of the vote in 'curation'.
Which would be ok in my book, if the reward pool impact of their profit taking didn't diminish everybody else's profit, too.
When the most powerful accounts in the game votes their stake the smallest amongst us are pushed below the dust level.
They get nothing because the big dogs like to wag 'their' tails.
To an extent this is necessary to have a game.
We could just divide it up equally, but where is the game in that?
This said, the game is those that want to concentrate wealth in the hands of the few against those that want the wealth spread out.
You know, just like in real life.
If you dont like it there, why would you like it here?
So, a compromise is in order.
My proposal:
The vote sellers continue to sell votes!
They can decide amongst themselves how much to charge for these votes to be profitable.
Hell, they can add a fee that guarantees their profit for all I care!
But, they must compromise, too, eh?
How do we minimize vote selling's impact on the rest of us?
By declining rewards.
The posts still trend.
The views could even go up because greed has been eliminated as a factor in making it to trending.
The only greed on display are those that sell their votes.
Right now they tell us that they are just helping out the little guys.
'Its all about visibility.'
Well, declining rewards doesnt impact visibility, huh?
You get the same boost up trending either way.
Im sure this will impact demand, but they can charge more for their services while actually helping more than just those willing to pay to play.
If those 'altruist' whales really wanted to help minnows they would lock up their sp and stop bullying us with it.
But 'helping minnows' is just the lie they use to keep us from abandoning them entirely.
Wise up, steemizen.
Nobody interested in profits is interested in the human misery created by them.
Starving kids around the world dont have money for food, but because 'profit' they should all get jobs.
How many children must die so that raytheon can keep paying their owners?
On any given Tuesday we can end this bankster charade.
Keep working, stop paying.
I mostly focus on the quality of posts on Steemit, only then comes the votes, money etc

Well, since what i propose is best accomplished on an all at once basis, i had to pick a day.
Mondays typically suck, so that was out.
Fridays allow too much time to overthink before monday gets here.
Who starts things midweek?
By choosing tuesday, it makes that monday something really special and gives us the rest of the week to get used to the new paradigm.
