What is all the fuzz about last minute voting?

I still don't get it and especially after reading this:

https://steemit.com/steemit/@calamus056/curation-rewards-explained-in-great-detail

Where can I find anything about the pro's and con's of voting on day 6 - 11th hour - just before the post and rewards will become "inactive"?

Anyone?

Please stop shitting up my threads with your nonsense. It's a reporting tool, nothing more. If you'd stop to actually take a look at the patterns, you'd notice the abuse. Or, if you'd be patient, once I have enough data aggregated, that will be posted.

Open your eyes.

No one - including you - has answered my questions! Not one!
Where is the fairness and justice in this?

Sorry I didn't cater to someone who didn't bother to learn what's really happening on the site he's complaining about.

I see two reasons for voting this late:

the first: you will have payout on next day not in some days so you can reinvest earlier...

second: in case of reward-farming (which in deed happens) even under the use of bots etc. the chance to be detected is smaller when voting late because until someone recognises payout is already over if there where unusual high rewards on spammy or sh*tty posts...

so far the reasons - if this is pro or con I do not know... a possible pro might be that the people voting before will receive higher curation reward as they frontrun...

If I look to the above reasons the service of @abusereports is not too bad and as @berniesanders said- I was just marked and not flagged...

maybe there is a bot in action detecting unusual high votes in a 24 h phase before payout ?

But as I stated... I try my best to make my account grow, I try my best to help the community and Steemit grow...

I received on serious flag (about -10 $) and this was removed after reasoning ;-)

so it is better like @abuserports does - to mark the posts and wait on reaction... maybe it is just a bot or spam account and then flags are very welcome...

Well, thank you @honolulu - but, I will continue to ask the same questions until I have good, reliable, and solid answers.

from my point of view my answer matches your requirements: good, reliable and solid

but maybe you did not have understood the mechanism etc. in here ?

You read the quickstart guide, the Official FAQ, the Steemit Whitepaper ?

I guess then you woul really understand my comment resp. you even won't need my answer because you understood for yourself...

anyway...

Good luck in finding someone you can give you the answer you want...

In a society governed by the rule of law, there must be clearly stated due process to protect the rights of all.
Where is any of the due process that is in the legal system exhibited in the posts that accused others for "wrong doing?"

In due process:

  • there must be a charge (question: what law or rule or regulation or statue has been violated?)
  • who is the plaintiff? If this is akin to class action suit, who has delegated their rights to these accusers? Self appointed vigilante - by what power or right?
  • who is the judge(s)? who is the jury? Is this not mob-rule?
  • what is the process - evidence, deposition, discovery, disclosure, jury selection?
  • what is the appeal process?
  • what is the remedy when wrongfully accused - prosecuted - shamed?
  • there is more, but fair-minded persons will agree or refute here, please.

You're going to make a lot of friends here, I can tell...

wow - here are the "usual suspects" - all 15 of them. Do you ever run out of votes?

this is a fine and interesting comment - I will cast in my two cents tomorrow as for today I spent much time, energy, nerves, brainpower etc in Steemit...

CU ;-)

This platform is not a court of law - it is a social networking site.
However, people's behavior must be governed under due process for wherever this platform is hosted and operated.
In due process:

  • charges must be specific
  • details / evidence must not be disclosed to the public unless and until approved by the court
  • the accused must be served
  • the accused must be afforded legal counsel

In a lawless situation and environment - fair minded persons must speak up - "Innocent until proven guilty" is the law and doctrine of the USA.

After I looked into the stats of the 15 that voted for @berniesanders' comments - it appears all but @iflagtrash makes no comments or posts - all the 15 do are voting and have a lot of SP - i.e., they are bots or whales or gorillas.
See for yourself:

Today is day 10 for me and I still have a lot of questions and a lot to learn.
It is not fair to pounce on a newbie just for asking question or for proof.
Ahhh ... - the beauty of the platform based on blockchain - @berniesanders and all those bots - you can run and shout but you cannot hide. Your actions are etched in the virtual space for all to see.
