why is there so many bots on here?

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards
  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling

    Greed, mostly. Some were probably designed to be benign and helpful, but the huge number of them is best explained by greed, I think.
