Forget about learning what MIRA is! Go to steemit.com and browse it for a while. Feel anything different? Don't look for improvements in appearance or new features. Does it work as you expected or is it slower? Anything seems broken? If something seems broken or the site is very slow for you, comment on this post.
Otherwise enjoy MIRA in action!
What does that mean? Almost the same performance at much improved costs!
For now it will be on and off on steemit.com, while more tests are being analyzed in production (real use). Here's what's next:
It is our hope that some time next week MIRA will be running live in production full time. Soon after that we plan to have a public release available so that every Steem node operator can benefit from the dramatic cost reductions that result from MIRA.
Oh, and by the way, next in line after MIRA are... SMTs!
Everything looks fine... I hope it will stay like that... As I saw, if everything works fine in next 1-2 weeks, the next goal is SMTs!!!! And that will be our ticket to the Moooon :)

I saw a few glitches on other interfaces that probably use steemit API. But I'm sure they will be fixed soon enough.
And yes, knowing that SMTs are next is reassuring. Hopefully we will have them completed (maybe not deployed yet) by the year's end, considering an important chunk of work on the project has already been done before the layoffs.
