I have seen a lot of posts about the new (well, sort of new) featured posts, as usual most people are OK with it and see it as a great addition to the Steemit experience, but I have also seen a significant amount of posts and comments of people who think that this feature is actually rude, that it is not right to have the featured posts at the top of your feed if you don't even want to see it etc.
To me all of these complaints are valid every individual has his own opinion about things and if you don't like to have posts you don't want to see at the top of your feed until you delete it I believe that is your right. I personally don't care one way or the other, I usually do open the post read what it is about and read a few of the comments most of which amazingly agree with whatever the post says, I do think there is very little critical thinking being put into these replies, but I just do this and then delete the post forever (I hope) and I do think I am a little better informed after reading it.
But as for the people who don't want to see this featured post and don't want to be deleting every time there is a featured post, why don't you have something that lets you select if you want to see featured posts, like what we have for NSFW posts?
Would not implementing this stop the complaints?
