Community building would be much easier if everyone wasnt so concerned with upvoting there own stuff, or saving power for themselves.
Steemit is selfish.
Until that system is fixed, its pointless to work on "onboarding millions" when the current users leave faster than drunks at a dry bar...

We have heard about these incidents too. We would like to believe it is just some kind of mistake but we are sure there will be some voting rule changes too GE.
Some have said 'I delegate 30% to friends, 30% to newbies, 40% to myself' we believe this to be ok. But 100% to yourself is not very community minded - agreed.
We also noticed that there was less upvoting when the price of Steem was higher. So we believe it may all simply be swings and roundabouts.
Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:
