Oh yeah, I finally got those Steemit shirts today! I was pretty excited with how they came out, what does the community think?
Getting Steemit clothes is super simple! Find a design, tweak it a little if you want, and you’re good to go at any custom print shop. I decided to stay local so I paid 15$ apiece for mine, but I’m sure you could find a place for much cheaper out there.
So get out and get your own and become Steemit official.
In any case, i've become Steemit official. I have Steemit clothes, I post here instead of twitter or Facebook, and now I'll be out promoting the Steemit at scsu with some shirts next week when classes start! Being a Steemian has been an amazing experience
I found a great place to voice my opinion, and also read up on subjects I have always had interests in. The photography section is mind-blowing, and I’ve never learned so much on anarchy and political controversy. I've wrote some blogs, and had one go viral which netted some decent $$! It's just been exciting to participate on Steemit, and I'd love to share my experiences with others while also drawing their attention to our community here. I believe college students have the largest voice which would be a great contribution to the success of Steemit, and I plan to reach out to a very diverse University.
But right now I'm trying to come up with a simple way to explain Steemit to college students who know nothing of block chain tech. It is tough! I really don't want to give out a brochure because I don't think anyone reads those things. But the concept will need to be explained, so, we need to brainstorm people...
Besides the shirts, I will also have some other surprises to give away, unfortunatly I have to wait another couple days to reveal them, but I am positive the Steemit community will love it.

I don't even bother bringing up the blockchain. I just tell people you get paid when people like what you've posted. Cryptocurrency usually comes up but then I talk about imagining if you could go back and buy Bitcoin at the beginning.

I think i'll bring up bitcoin, but might avoid the whole blockchain concept. Once people don't understand something that is techy, I've noticed most will zone out or try to change the subject. I've actually scared a couple of my friends off by trying to talk about the blockchain.
I was thinking of getting 100's of business cards with just "Steemit" and the logo, and maybe "Go viral and get paid!"
