Everybody on the Steemit platform know that it is still in the perpetual beta. So people are aware that there could be something that may not work as expected and many things are in progress. Steemit(Condenser) team should use this an excuse to play with the new features and enhancements. Move Fast and Break Things should be the new mantra.

All of the people on Steemit platform today are early adopters and most of them know that themselves. Steemit is still the second most trending topic on the platform.

So given all the relevant data I think the community will be open to testing out new features, providing feedback and giving suggestions.

  1. Create a tag #steemit-suggestions which can serve as a placeholder for all the suggestions about Steemit.
  2. There should be a more formal way for making Feature Requests as creating new tickets on Github is not the suggested approach.
  3. Add details of a staging site like https://steemitstage.com/ in the ReadMe of Github page which will let users know where they can test the latest build.
  4. With each build if they can also list the new features added it could make the testing by community very easy.

The current approach of Facebook is "Move Fast with Stable Infra". With Steemit we already have a Stable Infra in the form of underlying blockchain. So the Infra part will be only with respect to the UI part of it, which can also be tested on your local instance using Docker.

Go Steemit, Go break some things but reduce the development cycles.

Totally agreed. There are many suggestions that should be taken into consideration. My main concerns are regarding:

  1. the platform is too heavy, all data is loaded into the page at once, that means if a thread has thousand of comments they will all load at once, slow computer or phones suffer from this a lot
  2. the platform it too metalinguistical, we use Steem to talk about Steem... Like a lot!
