In Russia, people working on minimum wage have turned to Bitcoin mining and diminishing the stock for video cards!
The exponential growth of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies attracts more and more miners from different countries. Many of those living with a minimum wage and are interested in mining cryptocurrencies, in order to have decent earnings.
Apparently, Russian miners have double the average wage. This is why the demand for hardware is huge.
Local media reports that while the number of miners has increased by 500% - 700%, video card providers can not handle requests. As customers acquire video cards with hundreds, traders have risen prices by as much as 80%.
Because of the enormous prices and the long waiting times for delivering orders, many miners are looking for help from foreigners. They practically play the role of hardware suppliers for mining.
One of the miners told the Realnoe Vremya online newspaper that many Russians get the equipment from international markets and then sell them to local traders for a substantial profit.
With more and more people succeeding in cryptocurrencies mining and earn more money than from labor market, there are weak chances of coming out of the global crisis soon.
