My first confusion as a new steemit user is in knowing the difference between a Story, a Blog, and a Post. By common convention a blog is a collection of posts that reflect your interests, perhaps posts that are grouped into a category. In my profile I can see a list of "Blog" and "Posts" as if they are two distinct things that would be listed if I created one. I want to post content that would be the first of my blog posts, so would I want to create a "Blog" or a "Post"?
It seems I can't go wrong though because although I could see an empty list of either, there is not option to create neither a post nor a blog; nope, you can only "Submit a Story". Therefore, it seems that a "Story" is another name for a "Post", and a "Blog" is perhaps a list of categories that a Story/Post falls into. When I create a story there is a field to enter "tags", so it is my presumption that my story/post will appear under in my Blog list by the tag words that I use for the post. If true then "story" and "post" mean the same thing, and "blog" and "tag" are just post/story categories that you've used for posts.
