What are your thoughts on the quality of the content here? I feel like the cashing-out aspect could (and I see some of it, as a total newcomer) incentivize pumping out low-effort content to see what sticks.

Quality varies widely. At first, I was bamboozled by the flood of garbage posts, but I eventually found some great accounts to follow. @hardfork-series is an interesting one to watch, I think.
