A wolf is a very symbolic creature who holds deep meaning for various cultures.

Some cultures take the wolf as a representation of life and light, with its ability to see in extreme darkness.

• According to Japanese culture, wolf is considered as a protector of human beings.

• In Celtic mythology, tbe wolf is associated with the power of the moon, while the Asian mythology reveres it as the door keeper to the heaven.

• In Roman culture, the wolf also occupies an important place in the ancient culture in Rome, where it is Romulus and Remus, the founder of Rome.

• In Christianity, while all the above mentioned cultures revere wolves as a positive creature, Christianity takes it as a negative one relating it with Satan.

Wolves have survived in harsh locations for tens of thousands of years. They are intelligent and skillful hunters who rarely hunt alone (unless they have been cast out of the pack).

The wolf offers some of the most striking animal meanings on the realm of spirit animals. The power of the wolf brings intelligence, appetite for freedom, and awareness of the importance of social connections. This animal can also symbolize fear of being threatened and lack of trust.

How do I link wolf as my sigil or as myself as an animal?
INKED IT INTO MY BODY!

Last 2017, a cold summer night of May, I decided to have my very first own tattoo and it was a WOLF. My love for a wolf is so unmeasurable. Ever since that I was a child, people around me don't want me, even now that I have a job, my co-workers, some friends, and other people don't like the way who am I, like most people do with a wolf, they don't like them so much because of its character.

Based on the history above about the wolf, I want to discuss first the negative one about wolf is that I got also the lack of trust and the fear of being threatened. I always think that I was a Jinx or some demons (Satan) follows me but all I want is to live peacefully and full of happiness in life.

Next, let us follow it with the intelligence. I do have my perception about this word. It means, "if we do something bad, don't do it again. If we lie, don't do again. Learning from our mistakes". Just like a wolf who is very intelligent and a wise animal to learn and to survive after he got cast out from the group. The wolf and I learns from the things and the bad decisions that we made. So, even we are casted out, life must go on. As we are the door keeper to the heaven, we must correct ourselves for the bad things that we've done. And having the power of the moon, an extreme ability to see in the darkness, I compare it as I look to other flaws or weaknesses. I look to their flaws but will not judge them by it, but to see the inner beauty in their hearts. All of us have some weaknesses and these weaknesses force us to do unnecessarily things. So that's why I don't easily judge people as I see their actions. I always clarify and see things neutrally.

Third, I can compare my self with the founders of Rome, and the wolf occupies a big role for its culture. Romulus and Remus have a long story to tell. But to make the story short of this twins, Romulus killed Remus, and Romulus named the city, "Roma/Rome" after himself. The twins have an attitude of being competitive, as do I. I am everyone else's competitor, so I think that's the reason they don't want me just like a wolf. I want to compete and to compete and to compete. But not with everyone,nor everybody or who's on the top, but to compete with my self. I want to change myself for a better, with or without a purpose. Just for the better.

And lastly, I want to become a superhero since I was a kid; just like a wolf who revere as protector of human being. I want to secure everyone's safety. I want the people around me don't get hurt by some intruders. I want to look for their safety until my last breath. But not only for the people who are close to me, for everybody who's in my sight. I want them to feel secure. Because feeling being secure is like a young dire wolf (child) who has an appetite for freedom, freedom to see the wolrd how beauty it was, without limitations, without any fear. And by having the awareness of the importance of social connections, I can say that me and a wolf is friendly. We want to stay connect to the one that we love or to our family; also we want to socialize to the creatures (people, strangers) in our surroundings. Not only by knowing them, but after we gained friendship or harmonious relationship, we must look for each other, ask if someone's need a helping hand, and be loyal to the pack.
