I made this post (https://steemit.com/steem/@gridcoinman/what-do-you-think-of-my-steem-power-3d-model) a few hours ago, within a few seconds of posting it received about 20-30 votes almost simultaneously. All the accounts are brand new with less than 10 steem power and no posting history. Anyone care to explain?? I was under the impression the new fork prevented this type of behavior.

Bots target certain tags right now (especially #introduceyourself) I'm all for @wang and actual bots that add value, bots that offer no insight should be penalized and removed. I believe the bots are also not upvoting their own posts, so they may be hoping people simply upvote there useless introductions without realizing they are hurting steemit in the long run.

Yes, malicious bots are a problem with any system. However I'm confident that in time the Steemit system will be sophisticated enough to filter these things.
Furthermore, bots with intended function will eventually prove to be Steem's greatest assets.
