Vintage Pre-WWI Colt 1911 disassembly and reassembly video

in steemit •  8 years ago

Here is a video showing how to take apart a 1911 Gov't model. This is another gun I picked up at a pawn shop, when I looked up the serial number and markings it dates the frame 1918 and the slide 1912. Unfortunately the grips and sights have been replaced with modern (1990's) aftermarket parts.

Beautiful piece man. Keep that one in the family. That sucks about the grips though. Sorry man.

Badass video. 1911s are not easy to take apart. For me anyway. Great to see more gun enthusiasts on here! Followed and upvoted!

Thanks

This is a great video. I hope you make more. Old guns are quite fascinating and they really don't make them like they used to.

Thanks, I will hopefully be doing a few more of these videos soon
