I am among those who are confused about the entire rewards/curation/voting/ payoff - pay what? - scheme. Here, one of our foremost expert's on the subject of 'curation rewards' - whatever that is... shows us a bunch of diagrams and lines and a blur of words that would require a few weeks of life just trying to figure out what what he is talking about.

And quite possibly, after hours of dedicated research, everything will be changed anyway...

Not that most of us are going to put in that time to figure out how to maximize profit off this ..thing.. this.. platform? .. when its own programmers can't explain it in simple terms?

I damn well do need an income.. but hell if I'm going to spend my time trying to figure out how to scam the system for a payoff.

And what is this Payoff? The ability to go throwing clout around?

Is that the end goal being promoted? The ability to be the DECIDER of Quality?

The QUALITY Content Decider? OHHHHhh owwww wow. The Power!

Well, I guess I just don't get it.

The problem is; I don't think anyone 'gets it.'

"It" is the End Of Poverty.

That's the ultimate goal.

Unfortunately, we haven't quite figured it out yet.... But I can see that the best people, with the right intentions, are here on Steemit and are working on this very issue...

... and I hope to be able to contribute by helping figure out how to do this thing we all really want to do.

I'm going to go with a Keep it Simple approach.
