Hi Steemians
Today I am officially back. As you know my account was stolen and had to gain back my voting power. Now I will start writing and voting again. I spent the last days only commenting which was a different experience itself. I was also active hunting spammers and reporting plagiarism.

In the meanwhile I discovered a post written by @runicar about the new browser extension to prevent phishing scam attempts and I think thats exactly what we need now. I installed it and hope to be safe in the next days, but we need still to be careful! Hackers will always find a way to trick people :)

Now for the future I hope that Steemit Team will make it possible to stop any money transfer out of the hackers wallet. Reporting hackers alone wont help as they are still able to transfer the stolen money to external websites. We might need a live chat option with the support team to report abuses in the right time and take action. It is a big loss for many users and Steemit itself.
This is the Hackers account and you can see they are still active stealing money from different accounts. There should be a way to stop them. Flagging the account alone is not enough. They loose the reputation, but remain active members on Steemit. I hope that we can find a solution for this serious problem soon.

I'm definitely for flagging lame spam comments, esp. when they self-upvote... If you see a lot of posting spam, best to report it to @steemcleaners :)

Thank you! I am reporting them to @steemcleaners and they do the job :) But as they open new accounts it is getting more complicated. The most of them use new accounts once they get flagged and loose their reputation.

So THAT explains the new accounts being made... all bots and spammers! Hahaa... Well not really, the overall popularity of the site is growing a lot... I hope the devs can find a solution to these losers!
