Why Flagging the "Trending" Trash! Have other solutions...

Hi Steemians

Whenever a war ends an other starts. Thats the case here on Steemit. We are facing many problems at the moments or maybe, because I am new here I am discovering these problems lately.

The major problem seen here is Voting Bots. I personally dont see it as a problem as everybody is using them. It is true they might be supporting a lot of Trash, but they are also supporting new users. If you go on the trending page, you will see mostly whales or dolphins on the top. Minnows wont be on the top of the list even if they use voting bots. Everybody knows how it works! The more you invest, the more you rank higher. Minnows dont have enough SP or enough money to be on the top.

I have a suggestion which might be a solution. As voting bots became a part of the community, we cant fight them or remove them. But we can limit users using them. For Example whoever has more than 5000 SP wont be allowed to use voting bots in the future. Minnows who get flagged and loose their reputation for reasons like spam or plagiarism wont be allowed to use bots as well. That way only minnows can use them to be visible. Dolphins and Whales will be on the trending page anyway. They dont need any support to be visible.

There is another solution which might be even better! Push all promoted posts to the "Promoted" page, wether they use Steemit or voting bots to promote their posts. This method will clean the trending page forever!

We have already enough Whales and Minnows in the community and need to balance it. Otherwise the rich is getting richer and the Minnows giving up very early. We dont want Steemit to be same as Facebook full of Spam and problems.

We should also look at the other real problems like plagiarism and phishing. Try to add more security to the platform, maybe a "Steemit Live Chat". I spoke about this before and will still come back to it, because the problem is not solved yet.

I will tell you what I see as real problems here:

  • Users with multiple accounts upvoting their spam comments. Just imagine 100 Spam comments per day and 0.15$ for every comments. And thats everyday!
  • Users with high reputation selling their Steemit accounts. Whether it is legal or illegal I dont know, but it is happening. How can they open many accounts in a short period of time! Get the reputation and sell it.
  • Phishing.
  • plagiarism.

Whatever is happening here is effecting the community and the reputation of Steemit. So instead of fighting each other, we can work together and solve the problem.

Well thats my opinion and thank you for reading :)
