Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

    It's a new feature that's only been around for a few days. It's that bent arrow pointing to the right between the votes and the comments icon. It's like retweeting on Twitter, it re blogs the post to your own followers. Make sense?
