Maybe they are just here to make themselves as well off financially as possible.

Nothing in STEEM blockchain or steemit restricts or limits there ability to do what they are doing.

So why so surprised that there are bad apples among the mega whales? If it wasn't these two, it would be others. And it will be others in the future.

Maybe you need to reconsider all the limitations and side effects that come with POS cryptos.

There are some obvious advantages to POW. Along with drawbacks there as well.

Totally agree that is their aim. No different than a Wall Street Powerhouse. That is their interest and nothing in the Steemit rules says they can not do this. If they were not someone else will. The law of the land no matter what yu are doing and where you are doing it. You can make yourself crazy chasing them around and they are loopholers looking for a quick way to fame and fortune. They are not going to give it up and really they do not have to. There is no rule to say they can not and if there was a rule, they would find a loop hole. Others will follow them and then others. If the land of steemia is aware of them, then that is all we can do.

I can pretty much give you a letter of intent from them.

Haejin: See, here's how it happened. I had been doing TA in the commodity arena for quite a while with moderate success, then I invested in Bitcoin and some other cryptos and made a ton (I know everyone else did too, but in my case, it was because of TA). Well, I saw an opportunity in the crypto arena because there were a lot of new investors in crypto and they would be more likely to give my TA a shot. So I decided to start small with a blog and a youtube channel. Man did I get lucky with the timing. I started blogging steemit because I liked the idea that I could earn while blogging, plus it was one of the biggest crypto-centric blog site out there filled with my customer base. After a little while, I met Scarlet7 while I was looking for soemone to build my website and run marketing for me. Scarlet was the one who came up with the idea for Rancho. He asked if I had any rich friends that would buy a lot of Steem and upvote me as payment for commissions I had earned. I remembered my old buddy Craig, who you guys know as Rancho.
I called Rancho to convince him to invest in steem. He was reluctant at first, but I told him the same thing I told all my follwers; that Steem was going to $14 and SBD to $22. I had made him some money in the past, so he begrudgingly went with the plan. But he had a condition, a time limit. He is going to pull his money out when the market for Steem tops out or when he gets tired of it.
We knew that we couldn't acknowledge a connection between us, so we waited a while for him to upvote us. When he did, we made sure to send messages to him as if we didn't know him. We even asked him to do a few posts to make him seem more legit. We then waited a few weeks and started having him upvote all of our posts.

It was good for about a week then that pesky marky mark noticed and all hell broke loose. To be honest, we didn't expect it to cause that much of an uproar. I mean sure, we were lined up to make millions, but we weren't upvoting our own stuff, right? I mean we were, but still... Anyways, mark drew the attention of the meanie whale Bernie with his infamous post. At first, I wasn't that concerned. I knew the allegations against me, but I made sure to never mention rancho by name, not to my followers nor accusers. In fact, I don't think I mentioned his name until I had him start downvoting for me. See, I never expected Bernie and his "band of thugs" to actually be able to zero out my posts. Before this, I acted very nonchalant, but when that happened, I was distraught. I mean there went my plan. Anyway, I told all of my followers to join so they could upvote me, but I learned real quick that their upvotes meant nothing, so I started telling them to invest...I used the same spiel that it was going to $14 etc. I forgot to tell them that it would take 13 weeks for them to get their money back, lol woops. Anyway, a lot of them are trying to pull out their money. I've come to realize that I don't really need them anyway. It turns out that Bernie is reluctant to waste all his voting power to bring my posts down and he is unable to garner support from hardly anybody except for a few minnows who I downvote into oblivion. So I guess the joke's on you guys.

So to answer your question, my intent is to ride Rancho's upvote for as long as I can until he decides to pull his money out. Hopefully steem starts to rise a bit as I predicted a few weeks ago (back when it was at like $6 something). That way Rancho might believe me and stick around for the $14 I promised him. Until then, I have to milk it for as many posts as possible.

where are all the good whales? What are they saying and doing about any of this? Who are the whales? How many are there? Do they care? If there were never any filters put into place so that people dont or can't do what they are doing, what is to stop them. Not everyone has ethics. Unfortunately someone will copy them at some point in time, unless of course they kill it for the rest of us. In which case someone will copy Steemit and once again we will rise to the top.

I saw the flag on your post two days ago by them, believe me I was appalled, it really hurt me that your rewards are being taken away, it seems the war is being fought but nobody is listening I think it's time haejin and you and the rest of other people who are seeking the betterment of this community come together under a round table and probably discuss terms on what is right and wrong, I feel the flags is doing you harm,

The first person we observed discussing this matter was bernie anders....

But he was spamming to get his msg out, so thus why we are still incredibly confused at the situation.

I mean he makes more spamming people about this issue then Lynds does on her amazing posts and I don't understand why.

Why I am confused how haejin is scamming posting daily about the crypto market (most of the top earners we see are those types of people.)

Meanwhile Bernie is spamming everyone who comments on these posts and making money.

The post was well intentioned, but I believe ultimately naive.

What we are seeing are the behaviors and outcomes possible in a Proof Of Stake system.

Just because you show up with a lot of fiat, and are a giant whale, doesn't mean you are not a total asshole, that has no sense of community.

To be fair to @haejin and relaxo, there are many other whales on the platform that are also assholes, with no sense of community.

And keep in mind that these giant whales, really have a very very small amount of fiat at risk. There will be lots of bigger fish that may be attracted to steemit.com if the price of SBD and STEEM keeps rising.

Ultimately POS crytpos are going to have challenges attracting the really really big money from major investments, because of the issues we are currently seeing - asshole whales can be very disruptive.

Please be clear I am not supporting what @haejin or relaxo are doing as reasonable, or good for the community, or anything but completely selfish and based on greed.

But is anyone really surprised? 100% of the people you know and interact are angels?

Steemit works in such a way that we as stake holders are the governing body. It is up to us to flag the posts to lower the rewards. The problem the retaliation is crushing people's blogs. This is something I have to sacrifice in order to make Steemit better for everyone as well as keep the damn thing alive

I agree to disagree.

It's obviously not fun to receive downvotes, but what people must start to understand is that downvotes/flags are mostly issued whenever someone does not agree with the rewards. It's even stated "disagreement of rewards" as the first thing in the list.

Also if what you've stated above, about sweetsssj upvoting the same authors articles on the 6th day... Then that is something she's doing so others won't have a chance to flag those articles in time to reduce the rewards. Which obviously is a bad thing too. Because it should be a fair and even "playfield" for everyone so to speak.

Another thing, that is extremely bad in my opinion regarding this, is the fact that she has this much power due to @ned. And when she got this incredible delegation, she started her own vote-selling business too. Which ultimately means that she's not only upvoting her own articles with 100%. She also sells votes and apparently vote on friends or whatever, on the 6th day to enrich them as much as possible, and they're doing all of this, "under the radar".

In my opinion there's only one thing that can kill Steemit as a platform.. And that is greed. Which we apparently have a shitload of.

I agree with your comments in the video and it's obvious what @haejin's motives are when you see he downvoted this post.
The posts done by him were never of any interest to me, but the war between them and @berniesanders does interest me, as well as bothers me.

New users seeing this will be taken aback by this behavior and it does no good to Steemit in general.

I call upon Steemit to come up with an arbitrage solution to deal with abusers without resorting to personal vendettas or depending on single persons to take actions.

To be Honest I came to Steemit because of @haejin, I still read his posts, but my upvotes are very limited to his posts. Main reason is that of what you have mentioned in this video, second because post quality has been steadily on decline the more followers he gets. Now it became more of a trend for people to upload his posts but accuracy is way below what he actually deserves. Peace be with you

Something I would love to have an answer for is this:

Why do all of this and take 4% of the reward pool today.. When he could easily reduce the posts he makes and earn less rewards today, but earn long term instead?

Especially when he has more money than everyone on Steemit. As he has been doing whatever he does for 10+ years. So, he probably bought BTC when it was down to $1 or so... And that would obviously make him a billionaire today.

All according to himself.

It's all bogus and for show. That's the only reason I can see.

Sure, take advantage of the system, rake in 4% of the reward pool on a daily basis. Continue with all of that... But please... Start to "pay it back". Help others. Do something for anyone besides yourself. - But he won't do that, because the only thing he sees, are dollar signs before him.

Must be an awesome feeling to have enough power to silence most of the people who ever mention his name too. Along with taking the rewards away too obviously. And this has been going on for a long time, and we still haven't seen any response from Steemit Inc regarding this.

Just imagine how long Steemit would survive if @berniesanders, @thejohalfiles, @transisto, @freedom and all of these guys started to do the same thing haejin does.

Everyone would leave and Steemit would be nothing but ashes.

Blame the game and not the player? - Well... No. I blame the player even though the system are at fault.

Would've been awesome to see @ned's response to all of this. Especially as this has been going on for a long period of time already. Even @dan (the co-founder who left Steemit) have been downvoting haejins articles.

I can't help it, but I'm eagerly waiting for some sort of reaction or response from Steemit Inc.

I'm not sure if you'll ever see a reaction from Steemit.inc it not! My guess is they aren't really interested in getting rnvlovrd in situations at thisleb.

As this has been going on for a long period of time already, I don't think we'll see any reactions from Steemit Inc either... But I truly hope so. Because that's something the entire platform would need.

I can't watch the video right now but I've been thinking, if STEEM prize goes like $50 my upvote will be $20, a lot of dolphins will have a high upvote value and orca's will be like $200... And so on... What is going to happen if we upvote a friend's post because we can at 100% even when it is not that worthy?

Your friend will get $20 in your case. No matter the quality of the content, because you are friends. This is already common on Steemit and we've seen that ever since the early days. People who upvotes their family members or friends posts as much as possible, no matter the quality.

I don't think there'll be flag wars everywhere, but I think there will always be flag wars. Mostly due to reward disagreements though. I mean, there's more than a handful of authors today who earns anything between $200 annd $500 on each post they make, and that's not a problem.

The problem is not the amount people are making from one or two of their posts. The problem is that some people never give anything back and they're making 10 posts instead of 2 per day.
