Steemit Question? Anyone have any idea?

Every once in a while I will notice that one person or another has sent me .001 SBD.

Is this a common occurance? What is the purpose? Should I be sending people with bigger accounts .001 SBD now and then?

Or is this like a "Notice me Senpai!" Type thing?

Or maybe a subtle hint that they have a bot service?

It's always so confusing a little bewildering.

Halp! What do you do in this situation? Just continue leaving a "Thank you." Comment?

steem and steemit.com do not have a messaging service.
However, you can put a message when sending STEEM or SBD to someone.

So, that is what they are doing. They are spamming you while giving you the smallest payment that it is allowed.

They do not leave a memo, however.

It could be that they messed up, or they are just hoping you will click on to see their posts.

That's weird. Anyway, best to do is to ignore, I suppose. I would consider it spam even without a message attached.

Hi hickory they are spammers, they also send me those transfer on SBD or Steem. No attention I pay to them, that's all ;)

I noticed it too! I have em. Interesting way to spam. I didn't click tho. I thought maybe it was something coming back to me from curation or something
