Some of these are so outlandish and downright HILARIOUS, that they're gonna be hard for you to swallow! So...put that in your pipe and smoke it. haha.
If you'd like to skip reading and just watch and listen to this article - I've created this video (that's closing in on a Half Million views) with my article serving as the script. If you have two screens, you can watch as you follow along. So, grab a doob and let's go:
The first internet transaction was a drug deal. In 1972, Stanford students using Arpanet accounts at Stanford University's Artificial Intelligence Laboratory engaged in a commercial transaction with their counterparts at Massachussetts Institute of Technology. That's right! Before Amazon, before eBay, the seminal act of e-commerce was a drug deal. The students used the network to quietly arrange the sale of an undetermined amount of marijuana.
After Tupac was cremated, his ashes were mixed with marijuana and smoked by members of his hip-hop group, Outlawz.
In 1977 a plane crashed into Yosemite Park, containing almost 10,000 pounds of marijuana. Local rock climbers were first on the scene and amassed a fortune from the wreckage. There's little doubt in the minds of some, that the plane belonged to the CIA or some "government" agency.
The word “canvas” is derived from the word “cannabis” because canvas used to be made from hemp fiber.
The University of Mississippi operates the United States’ only legal marijuana farm, on behalf of the government.
Jazz musician, Louis Armstrong asked Richard Nixon to carry his bags through customs for him because he ‘was an old man’. The bags had marijuana in them.

Marijuana is technically illegal in Amsterdam, law enforcement simply turns a blind-eye to the “coffee shops” that sell it.
On Jan. 1, 1976 a prankster played a word game with the Hollywood sign. He hung curtains to make it read “Hollyweed.”
Colorado switched mile marker “420” to “419.99” in order to stop people from stealing it. The number 420 is often used as a reference to smoking marijuana.
In 1970 cannabis was placed in the Schedule-1 category of controlled drugs “Temporarily” while the Nixon Administration awaited the Shafer Report, which ended up calling for the immediate end to cannabis prohibition. So far, its been a "Temporary" 45 year-prohibition.
Cameron Diaz allegedly bought marijuana from Snoop Dogg while the two were High School together before either achieved fame.
Dr. James C. Munch (no etymological relationship to the word that would later be used to describe the insatiable hunger one feels after smokin' a doob) testified in court, under oath, that he had smoked marijuana, and it turned him into a bat. Dr. Munch was the “official expert” on marijuana for the U.S. government from 1938 to 1962. You just can't make this stuff up.
Scientists have created a scientific version of marijuana called ‘Dimethylheptylpyran’. When smoked, it’ll keep you high for at least 2 days
Willie Nelson says he smoked what he called “an Austin Torpedo” on the rooftop of the White House as Secret Service looked on.
A quadriplegic man, Jonathan Magbie, was sentenced to 10 days in jail for a first time offense of possession of marijuana, despite the prison not having sufficient medical equipment for him. The 27 year-old died after four days in custody.
The only country where cannabis is completely legal and claimed to be a legal right to possess, is North Korea who doesn’t even consider Marijuana to be a drug.
Alcohol and beer companies, fearing competition for the dollars Americans spend on leisure, are one of the top five opponents to marijuana legalization.
Also included on the list are
-- Police Unions: who have become dependent on federal drug war grants to finance their budget.
-- Private Prisons Corporations: that make millions by incarcerating people who have been imprisoned for drug crimes, including marijuana.
-- Pharmaceutical Corporations: who’s pharmaceutical interests would like to keep marijuana illegal so, that Americans, of course, don’t have the option of cheap medical alternatives to their products.
-- Prison Guard Unions: who have a vested interest in keeping people behind bars just like for-profit prison companies.
Snack food companies, on the other hand, are all for the idea of MJ legalization – hmm, I wonder why.
Polls indicate that 42% of people in the U.S. have tried MJ at least once

Study after study shows that MJ is much less harmful than alcohol or tobacco

Research has found the Delta-9 tetrahydracannabinol, also known as THC (the main active component of Marijuana) as well as CBD has proven to be extremely effective in reducing and even stopping seizures and specializes in eradicating cancer cells. Now let’s see, who on earth would keep such a life enhancing, life-saving compound from the people? Oh, yeah a criminally run government!

Shades of Reefer Madness. Lock the doors honey, close the windows, there are barbarians at the gate. The first transaction: Cultural lag meets emerging technology. A term I leaned in high school. If we could get Big Pharma and overly zealous elements of the morality police to shut up and have a sex change, then we might be able to benefit from rigorous double blind placebo testing of cannabis medical effects. The first time I was exposed to marijuana was walking by the boys toilet in the eight grade. It stank to me. However, with so many politicians who are looked up to as being successful, who do admit to using marijuana - I really doubt the horrors of this plant. Of course the other side of the coin is that marijuana is considered a gateway to drugs with extremely negative effects. Personally because I don't like the smell, if I was the POTUS I would ask Congress and states to simply restrict usage inside a person's home. That way they could enjoy their smelly plant, keep their privacy, and help in the decriminalization of what is essentially a weed. This would also stop the gigantic waste of money on the so called war of drugs which is nothing but a public relations tool used by the morality police every four years. Marijuana, I can do without. As long as it is in your house and you don't influence my loved ones, then we can live in peace, Ron.

I don't know it first hand but I'm familiar with the stories of people like Todd Stimson who cured his daughter with it (and subsequently thrown in jail). The war on drugs is a war on people, it's tragic.

Just one more undeniable reason it's insane for us to continue allowing criminals to forcefully enslave us. The "free country" known as America is controlled by perhaps the most tyrannical group of thugs in neck ties the world has ever seen. Are we getting close yet? Have we had "enough?"

To be honest none of these facts surprise me. Everybody knows that the pharmaceutical companies have our government in their back pocket. I myself suffer from back problems and I experience extreme pain due to this almost everyday. Personally I refuse to use pain as a reason to not work. I work everyday whether I am hurting or not. Due to the fact that I am a truck driver they will likely never legalize the use of marijuana to wear a truck driver could use it for pain after they shut down for the day. The funny part of this is they will authorize the use of Narcotics when you are not driving to take out the end of the day but not marijuana which would probably actually help and not just stop the pain. Well all I can say is welcome to the Communist States of America
