Good Morning Randy, that is quite a following to maintain. I found steem followers just after I started here, 3 people muted me as soon as I signed on? but that didn't upset me as much as 1 other, who by chance I mentioned in a post.
Shorty there after He contacted me with an apology that it was a missclick or something. I enjoyed his posts so continued to follow him anyway, ( But came a hairs breath from never hearing from him again ! ) and thats why he became aware of the mute.

The long and short of it is...I'm happy here @ steemit and want to grow, Free of getting upset about other peoples actions. I may get political in time, maybe not.
Thanks for another great post! I incapacitated myself on Sunday and haven't been able to type LOL, but am on the mend :-) And getting caught up.
Taking a peek at steemnow I saw a few votes just came in from you ( Thank You ) and here I am to see what you have been posting in my absence.
I found You here on day 1 searching Panama, and you have been a kind of distant mentor to me. Trying to get to the last meetup drove me to drink LOL. Maybe next time?

Sometimes I have noticed that when I'm on the app when I click follow, it will unfollow someone that I really wanted to follow. I don't always remember to go and check on my laptop or tablet. This is a rare glitch where when you are already following it doesn't load in the app, so when you click follow it actually unfollows. This has happened a couple times to me now. Just FYI for anyone using the apps for smart devices or tablets.

I really like this idea and will adopt this also moving forward. If I remember correctly you can add 500 rules to steem voter and that is about as many people as I want to follow me really. If more do that is great but I know I can handle regular interaction weekly with about 500 Folks. Thank you a lot for sharing this tool. It doesn't always work that way. On Twitter, I have a ton of followers, but no way I would follow them all back. My feed would be so polluted I wouldn't find the content I am actually interested in. I follow those who interest me and don't follow just because they followed me. The follow back rule is purely SEO type mentality and not actual good content.

Yes, it is a 2 way road. But i have exactly same problem. I had some users that wanted to see their content daily and now having only 71 following, can't see easy their content anymore.
Lol... one of my followers was having pron... i sure dont need that here too :-) It is all over the internet but not needing in my feed :-)

If it will be a way to make some favorite being first it will be a nice step. But till then, now at the begining we must follow as many we can. But at some point, we must filter that info for sure.

In your area of working it helps a lot. You share information and make a living from it as you said. Is the best way to share it.
But others who wants to read in some areas they can focus that way and help that group to evolve. Ain't that good too? To grow oriented groups of interest?

Well, I hear that. I follow you (on both my accts) and upvote most of the time with the occasional comment. And you know what, I'm surprised I keep up that much. I actually stopped adding to my followers of late because my feed is so slammed (especially cause of all the resteems).

Kudos to you for trying to keep up. I spend hours a day working through my feed and still never hit on it all.

I'd love to be on your voting list. I have supported you and recommended you to my group when they ask questions about steem analytics. Plus, votes for me are good for curators because whales rarely vote and gobble up all the curation rewards but my post still range between $5 - $100, usually averaging in the $20's. ^^

Speaking of Solar and Panama, what do you think of Tesla's recent rabbit pulled out of a hat? They will supposedly start selling solar roofing that is cheaper than regular roofing?! That's a world changer.

Well, Tesla solar products are good from what I hear. However their solar roof tops are mostly popular due to superior marketing and already in place popularity. They have not proven their roof top panels produce more power than the other competitors who have been doing it for years.

If Tesla can make a comparable product and sell it for less I would question how they source the raw materials. Mining silicon is often a slave labour trade in Africa.

So, I don't know if the product is better but either way I do support solar rooftops in any form.

Haha I love the joker gif, I just recently saw the movie the dark knight again. Did you know that the scene where the joker blows up the hospital was a real demolition of a hospital? Also the part where the button malfunction was also an actual mistake that happened, heath ledger was actually surprised in that scene.

Yeah, it is an awesome movie. Rewatch that seen, heath ledger acts out the mistake beautifully. I could barely tell that it was a mistake. I only found out through watching the narration of the scene. No problem, I try to make time but it is difficult balance my work now.

I'm assuming you're getting more out of Crowdfire than just that for $30/month, as I've seen quite a few free apps for twitter that can "unfollow unfollowers"!

And technically, what you want has already been done for STEEMIT as well:

Just reverse some of the logic...

for f in following:
     if f not in followers:
          ... unfollow() ...

btw, I also agree, @Shaunmza's "Steem Followers" tool is very cool!

I manage almost 30 Twitter accounts with it. It allows me to post as well. We are able to target keywords for following but I don't think Steemit is to that level yet. Maybe in a year we will be big enough to need targeting.

I actually thought you'd be more excited that I more or less presented you with the simple "unfollow unfollowers" tool you wanted, for free free free no less! :) lol

I tested it out on your account, and it looks like it works, except that you would also be unfollowing 9,925 of your follows, leaving you with a more "respectable" 6,130 follows versus your 7,081 followers.

Of course, you probably don't necessarily want to unfollow everyone who doesn't follow you back, although the best way to automate that "decision" may prove slightly more elusive!

I love your position on following people even if they don't have significant influence on the platform yet. It is very true unless you invested significant amounts of capital on this platform. Most whales worked their way up from being minnows. My only concern with following that many people is that it can difficult to keep track of all the content they are producing.

I gave up on watching my feed for the most part (for the same reason you suggested and how easy it is to miss something).

Since the feature is not implemented yet, I go to individual people's pages to see their new content. Steemit.chat also helps in that regard, for the content from people you really do not want to miss can be shared there in messages between friends.

For example I have created a #panama channel there to help people in Panama and those planning to go there to more easily network.

I do a weekly followers curation, where I check the people who follow me through that tool you mentioned. Some I write advices on how to get better, how to stop spamming for following and engage with them. I do send bots to vote them if the content is good, as my vote is low, I want to spread some steemlove.

I usually follow people that follow me but I also like my feed to have content that I actually like. I unfollow people if I get too annoyed with their content.

Yeah, definitely that's an amazing tool.

This tool is very useful to keep track of your followers in detail. I personally do not obsess about the number of followers, but precisely that is what I like about this tool, which goes beyond that, because it helps me to see who actually are the people following me and to get new people to follow from my followers.

Absolutely, the muting really upset me. It's like they thought, "I don't want him to know I don't care by unfollowing him so let me mute him instead." Too bad the tool exposed it.

I respect that 16k following count, but I can't copy you. I would love if steem had lists like twitter does so that I could categorize people I followed and read certain lists at certain times. Instead I only follow a relatively small number of people to try and keep my feed a little less cluttered. But I'm not maximizing the relationships or news I could be getting here.
