This Is About The 0.044%.
I'm not talking about the 4% of the total rewards one user earns. I am talking about the 0.044%. Which is about 100 times less. I don't have any accurate numbers, but from what I've read in other people's articles, there are about 40,000 active Steemians right now. We have 40,000 active Steemians and one of them earns 4% of the entire reward pool. - That's crazy and obviously not good for the growth of Steemit.
However, this is not about this specific person or what I personally believe about the amount he earns. This is about the other 96% which remains of the reward pool, but most of all, this is about the 0.044%.
That's the estimated earnings for someone with a percentage of 0.044. This is my personal estimated earnings and I have to tell you... Steemit is literally the best experience, the best "job" and the most awesome hobby I've ever had in my life. Rewards like this are insane and truly mind blowing. I am obviously extremely thankful for all the support and I have every intention of paying it forward to help others to grow and to grow my own account.
That is why I have decided to delegate 650 SP to six other Steemians. In an attempt to encourage and support those people and to help them to continue to grow our platform and to reward others. I am also planning to delegate 500 SP for each 1000 SP I earn/have in the future, and hopefully, the ones I have delegated, will pay it forward too someday.
- It's literally the perfect recipe for a better experience, user growth and success for Steemit as a platform.
And all of that is due to @fulltimegeek and his amazing generosity.
Thank You For Being Awesome @fulltimegeek!
0.044% is only a fraction of what many others are able to earn from Steemit, but if Steem/SBD are highly valued, like we can see right now. At ~$6+. It's a total of $1265 USD.
And here's the really cool part.
A typical Swedish man works in the manufacturing industry, earning an average of SEK 33,305 per month. The largest share of working Swedish women is found in the healthcare sector, where they have an average salary of SEK 24,176 per month. 33,305 SEK is ~$4200 and 24,176 is about $3070. - And That's The Monthly Salary!
According to Steemworld, I have pending rewards of $1265 in total right now. For 7 days of fun. Sure, I spend tons of time on Steemit, but I would never rely on Steemit to be my main income and I am definitely not trying to squeeze every last cent from anyone. - I spend time on Steemit, publish articles, comment and vote on content because I love Steemit and because I am having fun...
I do all of this because I am truly grateful for the opportunity I have been given...
- And for that, I get almost $1300 per week.
And That's AMAZING!
Just imagine how much that would be if Steem/SBD reached even higher values, such as $10 or $50. How about if we would see $100... - My $1265 would immediately be worth 2,3,4,5 times that amount.. And 10 times more.
Steemit is without a question the most rewarding hobby I've ever had... And the potential is incredible. The best part is, that we've only just begun. - 2018 will be an awesome year and I personally believe that 2019 will be the booming year for Steemit.
I wish I'm somewhere near o.o44% ;) hahaha... I literally celebrate everytime I get another set of eyes on my posts... All good, still working on it :)

I'm still super excited with my 0.0021% still just blown away to be rewarded anything for my posts.
Believe it or not writing a book about words in the dictionary had been on my dreams list for 5 years and steemit has already paid me more for 7 episodes than I ever thought i would make in ebook sales.

That's awesome! - The best thing is, that when the percentages are leveled out more and spread across the entire community in a better way, it won't matter if you get 0.05 percentage or 0.01, because the value of Steem and SBD will increase. So the 0.01 percentage will be worth as much as 0.05 is today.
At least that's what I'm hoping for. And that way, everyone will be able to earn a decent extra income.

It really is amazing. My stats have been in the 0.008-0.012% range for the last few weeks and given the SBD prices, none too shabby. I keep powering up almost every day. The potential for long term gains outweighs any urge to cash out.

I've noticed your power ups and I am truly thankful for all your support!
I wish I would be able to power up right away, but I'll have to wait. It's soon time to apply for the education and I need to pay my student debt before that. So I'll continue to cash out most of my SBD for a while, but after that, I'll start to power up so I can delegate more people as quickly as possible!
I truly believe that our delegations will benefit each person around us in one way or another, and I also believe that it's the best way to grow not only Steemit but also ourselves. We will grow, by helping others to grow.

Am glad to know that steemit has become part of your hobby.
Steemit has really become part of me, apart from the reward and earnings, i find more time in meeting and interacting with people from different countries.
I believe the best is still on its way coming.
I really commend your effort for having the heart of given back to the community by delegating part of your Steem Power to other steemians in order to keep this community growing.
You are really a committed and dedicated stewards, I know @fulltimegeek will be glad to have you did that.
Keep the fire burning.

Steemit has been my hobby and one of my passions ever since I joined in July 2016, but it wasn't until in the middle of last year or so, when I truly realized how amazing and inspiring Steemit is. Sure, the rewards are obviously awesome, but I've never published content for the rewards. The potential rewards have always been on second or even third place for me.
A much more interesting thing, and a goal of mine, has been to grow my own following from scratch. And to see if I have what it truly takes to become a "blogger". - And, due to Steemit's existence... It sure looks like I'm capable of doing what I do! :)
Thank you for your nice comment. I appreciate it. :)

I wouldn't say I will never rely on Steem as my income.
My plan is to leverage it into few passive income streams. I only need to make about 8000 USD a month and I'd feel comfortable quitting my job.

Thanks for the inspiring post dude.
Keep Steeming!

Haha yeah... Alright. That's true. But still, even if I would've made $8000 per month, I would probably still not rely on Steemit to be my main income. Even if I easily could.
I think it would take away my freedom in a sense, and the effects of that would be less fun and give me more obligations... And I don't think that would bring me anything good. But that's what I personally believe, in my own case.
That being said though, if I would be able to earn those $8000 per month and do it for a year or so... Well, that would be a different story.

Yeah, I would have to see that for a prolonged period.
But you are right about freedom. That is why I would prefer to use some Steem here and there as a currency to buy into other income streams.
I'm thinking things like substratum nodes etc that will provide payments in network tokens on a regular basis.

The name for it is "behandlingsassistent" in Swedish, and I guess the word for that is treatment assistant but I'm not sure. What I want to do, is basically to help and support teenagers who suffers from mental illness. I want to work in a Residential treatment center or something similar.

Truth be told, I know them as a Psychologists who help people get rid of their mental problems. Sometimes they can also mess someone's mind.
Is there any Residential Treatment Center in your area ?
Or are you aiming for abroad ?
Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

Yeah, I know what you mean, but I don't want to become a Psychologist, I want to be a treatment assistant. It's a huge difference between those two. Even though I don't know if it's really called a treatment assistant or not... :D
There's a couple of Residential Treatment Centers in my area or near me, and many of them are specialized in mental illness and focused on teenagers who are "troubled" so to speak.
Teenagers whose parents are drug addicts or if there's been domestic violence and such. These type of teenagers often suffers from mental illness, due to how they grew up and these are the ones I want to focus on. Like a support pillar. Someone they can talk to and rely on.
Most of them will still talk to a psychiatrist, and then there's me, an "extra" person so to speak. A person who'll help them with medications and stuff like that. It's more like a "personal assistant" than Psychologist. I'll help them with things in their daily life. If someone is afraid to go shopping for instance, I'll do that with them, to support and help them.
Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

That's a good idea !
Psychologists only solve the mental issues with suggestions or so to speak.
But judging from what you said, it's like sharing mental issues with you best friends who is always there with you.
That's better than what Psychologists do in all the way.
People often open upto their close ones.
But are you going to help people one by one or multiple at once ?
How far have you thought of ahead ?
Do you think you will be able to solve everyone's issues ?
Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:
Submit
Well... No. I don't think I'll be able to solve everyone's issues and I won't be able to help everyone I try to help... But I can try, and that's more than most people have done for me, in terms of my mental illness.
Treatment assistants or "behandlingsassistenter" as it's called in Swedish, often work with many people but mostly one by one. So I might be assigned a group of 4 or 5 different teenagers, but I'll work with them separately.
This entire idea is something that grew on me ever since I suffered from my first panic attack. Since that day, I've been more and more interested in mental illness and I've been very curious to find answers for different things about them.
How one thing affects one person in a very severe way when that same thing doesn't affect another person in any way and things like that. I find that very interesting and I've been seeking answers for my own mental illness for such a long time too, and I'm still learning and finding new ways for myself.. So if I can help others to live their lives to the fullest, even with their mental illness, that's what I aim to do.
I also see this education as some sort of "self healing", as I will study and learn how to help others... So along with that, I'll also learn how to help myself.

I have been trying best to onboard some of the people whom I have influence due to my travel blog and articles with positive numbers like these helps close the conversation when those folks are sold for Steemit. It has been just 35 odd days for me and the journey has been rewarding, full of learning and promises a lot of potentials if I continue to put similar efforts that I did while creating my small travel blog for last 9 years.
Thank you for such an great, to the point analysis that I am sure help me in onboarding few more of my freinds in the coming week.
