I had been MEANING to look into the genius inventor who had designed and created bitcoin ... what I have found is deeply surprising I think you will agree. The fact is no one knows WHO or WHERE he is! The most likely candidate of the same name claims it was not him... an Australian claims it was he and he wants no publicity - The mystery thickens!
From wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Satoshi_Nakamoto Known for Inventing bitcoin, implementing the first blockchain, deploying the first decentralized digital currency
Satoshi Nakamoto is the name used by the unknown person or persons who designed bitcoin and created its original reference implementation.[1] As part of the implementation, he also devised the first blockchain database. In the process he was the first to solve the double spending problem for digital currency. He was active in the development of bitcoin up until December 2010.
Nakamoto has claimed to be a man living in Japan, born on 5 April 1975.[2] However, speculation about the true identity of Nakamoto has mostly focused on a number of cryptography and computer science experts of non-Japanese descent, living in the United States and Europe.[3]
As of 24 May 2017, Nakamoto is believed to own up to roughly one million bitcoins,[4] with a value estimated at approximately $2.7 billion USD as of June 2017.
An Australian, Craig Wright Claims Himself To Be Satoshi Nakamoto - and claims to prove it:

Ok fine, if you really have to know, it's me. I'm the real Satoshi Nakamoto. But please don't tell anybody, I'm trying to stay under the radar. Thanks.

Sorry, I can't. Sad thing is I never expected Bitcoin to go anywhere, so I kind of lost my wallet and passphrase back in the day..

The only proof someone can offer is to trade one of the coins from the first block that Satoshi mined to prime the chain. This guy's proof is he's showing a guy with no crypto experience a signed message. Then he refuses to allow that signed message to display on air for privacy reasons. The hell?

You are correct weg thank you for the comment... The Ozzie Craig Wright has indeed been dis-proved - apparently! - so the mystery continues... If any wiser bit cryto-specialists can weigh in with any info or answers we'd all be most grateful!

I recently made a post about this also, where I expressed my opinion about Craig and Satoshi being one of the same. I also reveal what I think is the true nature and intention of Bitcoin. Please have a read, and if you wish let me know what you think.
