The more I connect my everyday life with steemit, the more comments my posts receive, the more often I secretly ask a question to some of the commentators:
-"Based on what you wrote you either didn't read the post or you're a moron. Which option is correct?!?"
Here I'm not even talking about our favorite "classic spam" (will list it here in case if someone still have doubts):
- -Good post!
- -Follow me!
- -Nice post!
- -Check out my blog!
- -Upvote me and follow!
Blah-blah-blah...
I wrote about such type of spam a lot, and I'm not going to do it again. Now I just flag for it with no single word. Or mute for first two.
But today I'm absolutely sure that I've met another type of spam. I will not put here any names, but.. What about comments that seem to be even related to the post, but sound like a delirium?
Yes, steemit is a social media. Yes, every comment has the right to exist. But really, how about comments on which in everyday life I would probably answer with russian expression "You're a moron, Vasiliy"?
Probably here I have to give a little explonation. When we say something like this we don't mean any specific Vasiliy. It's an abstract Vasiliy, who probably is a moron. Yep, strange russian tradition.
This type of comments I'm talking about are frequently made by people who has really poor English. Or at least it seems so to me. And more then that - it's supposed to sound as an excuse.
But I want to say something here about it....
I'm NOT a native speaker myself! And it can be hard for me sometimes to understand other steemians writing, but it worth effort, OK? MY effort, not author's effort, because I'm the one who can't understand and it's 100% my fault. And my problem. Sometimes I ask to say with other words if I can't catch the sense in some particular sentences, and it seems to me that such approach is much better then just writing meaningless comment and annoy the author.
And the main question in all this:
HAVE YOU BEEN BANNED IN A GOOGLE TRANSLATOR?!?
A separate word I have to other russian speakers, so I will (for the first time in this blog), add a few words in russian.
Nah, it's just a "scream of soul". But with little pleasant result for my creativity today. Now I have a new badge to paste in the bottom of my posts:)
Love, Inber

I agree that there are a lot of people who just post something like "Great post, thanks for sharing." but sometimes, for example, I just want to thank the author for sharing useful information and I would write something like "Thanks for sharing this info, I find it very useful.". I found myself in that situation today. This guy did a post where he shared a page where you can see how many "dead" followers you have. Literally I just wanted to thank him because I love having access to metrics like that. What would you say would be better, not saying anything, or leaving a post like the one I left?
On the other hand, you will see this people who don't even read and write that kind of stuff. Don't wear yourself out by getting upset. Just ignore them. That would be my recommendation.

I think I'll follow your advice, it's just - I really have a tendency to overreact, it's just me.
About what you said - it's different. I mean what you did is different. At least it's a breaking of a regular pattern. I think it's really acceptable when you write like this under posts with "pure information", but for example when I write about my health (just for example), and see "thank you for sharing" under it it makes me doubting about commentator's "health" lol:)

Ye I suppose the reality is that by chance a simple 'nice post' may get an upvote. If lets say 'spammer' A, does that 100 times a day he gets better known faster and may still get the odd upvote. Granted there will always be negatives here that been one of them but the reality is here you are incentivized for great content, posts, pics, comments and generally been nice and it's working exceptionally well and certainly better than any other social media site. I have only been here a month and am learning tons daily but I think what it boils down to is taking the time to compile a nice post or comment takes time and is hence 'work' a simple comment as you have stated with not even reading the post, almost seems unfair to be rewarded hey. Nice Post LOL, just kidding ;) Cheer$;)

Yes, if they do so - it's a high chance to be noticed, and noticed by steemcleaners too. Luckily.
