Great perspectives and thoughts! I haven’t realy looked elsewhere as I think Steem has all that is needed to succeed and first mover advantage. I also think that is has the flexibility to adjust if a course of action is necessary to succeed and lead to more adoption. However, community truly holds the keys for the future. As long as we mostly remain respectful with the best interest of the ecosystem in mind instead of one individual or small group of individuals, it could become a huge value creating community.

I probably invest the most of my time here also, though I must admit that whaleshares is getting more and more of my involvement due to how it is designed. I simply have to do more on there to earn anything, and when I earn I earn a lot! But this is still where my real community is. This is where I look forward to the comments each time I post, not just the upvotes. This is where I look forward to seeing posts from my friends that I can comment on too. It's definitely a more fully developed community here.

you have such a great way of seeing and explaining things, there are so many different players and creators within each community. I have just joined whaleshares myself and look forward to interacting over there, but I think my heart will always lie here xxx

Thanks. I also feel the greatest connection to this community. But I like this restriction of upvoting "buying" to being earned only through community participation. Haejin's even over there, but he isn't raping the rewards pool by tens of thousands per day. He makes maybe $5 on each of his posts! That translates for more rewards for everyone else. I am interested to see how long they can maintain that.

We are venturing into new grounds (digital grounds) and the environment is ripe to experiment with new ways of dealing with threats. This is good. Doubtful any single way will be a 'silver bullet' so understanding the different ways to leverage a multitude of tools will help.

I think so too. It's not a time to be a loyal purist to just one platform, unless you really only have time for one, or are an early enough adopter of one that the others just don't provide nearly as good an experience for you. For most of us, we do well to sample at least a few different blockchain platforms, just like on unpaid social media we probably have at least 2 accounts. One of the ways we really learn what suits us is by trying different things. We discover ourselves within the living of our lives.

This is such a good way of looking at it. Threats inform growth - or they should do, anyway! It's when nothing is done to protect the integrity and vision of these projects that things go awry.

Thanks for this information..
from my point of view, they will always be spammers. Because any good community should face threats. But where it comes is how do you fight against it ?
As you said that some communities punish those spammers by down voting them, which in a great move to punish this people, So that's it. Love this content.
