Sorry to see you go Isabel. When did you join? I joined recently, maybe about a month or two ago, and I have to tell I haven't even made a dollar yet. Yep, one dollar!! Not even on my introduce yourself, lol.
But, what is true of everything is that persistence and consistency pays, and to always do something you love even if you're not going to get paid for it.
I can think of at least thousand successful people today who talk of how they've failed and have been rejected so many times in the past. Will Smith actually lives by the mantra, "Fail Fast, Fail Often, Fail Forward," and Silicon Valley is said to hold an annual conference dubbed Failcon to encourage people to fail often. Because the more often you fail, the more often you give yourself a chance to succeed.
I hope that gives you some motivation to hold tight, and to write for the love of writing, with the hope that maybe someone out there, even if it's just one person, is going to be benefit from your content.
Money may come, it may not, but if you do something for the love of it, and you do it consistently money always eventually follows. Energy doesn't lie.
