i just noticed some people want to sell their steemit account for btc. i saw this types of ads in various forum.is this allowed by the community to transfer ownership to others?

The problem is: How they can completely transfer the account? it's linked to something, like email, fb, reddit, so in that case and opinion, who sells the account then he claims it back as hacked account and double profit. So no, imo, they can't. It's discouraged.
