I will explain how to Upload a Profile Picture and or Cover Image to your Steemit account.
- Step 1. Click your circle icon of your account on the top right corner
-Step 2. Click Settings
-Step 3. Open a new Tab and Go to http://postimg.org
-Step 4 Click Choose Image and Upload your desired image
-Step 5 Copy the second link titled "Direct Link"
-Step 6 Go back to tab from Step 2 Paste "Direct Link" into either Cover Image URL or Profile Picture URL. Scroll to the Bottom and Click Update.

Is there a way to resteem and updated version perhaps? And tag as tutorial... Even though you are happy about not being paid for it, I feel you deserve better ;) I mean. I've seen some steemers that post their evergreen posts more than once by making updates and revamping. It's not the best practice I guess, but sometimes it's kind of necessary.

http://postimg.org seemed to have a lot of shady reviews so I went back to my old https://imgur.com/ account. I'm still not quite sure why you can't use https://steemitimages.com which works out quite nicely when you write a blog post. Regardless, thanks for reminding me how this is done!

its not an option on that page it just means open a seperate URl so you can come back to that one but you dont have to you can go to postimage first and copy the direct link of your uploaded image then return to the settings page and enter it.

yes it seems some were having trouble updating the profile picture while the steemit developers were making changes to the system the update may not have gone through so feel free to try again now that they are done with that section. make sure your copying the Direct Link not the first one that just says Link.
