1CORINTHIANS 6:18-20

Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a
person commits are outside the body, but whoever
sins sexually, sins against their own body. Do
you not know that your bodies are temples of the
Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received
from God? You are not your own; you were
bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your
bodies.

TOPIC: HONOUR GOD WITH YOUR BODY

We came to the Christian faith from different backgrounds and cultures. Some cultures cherish and celebrate sexual immorality as a way of life. Sadly, too, some people use their bodies for self-gratification and commercial purposes. However, by accepting Christ, our bodies become the temple of the Holy Spirit. To use it in prostitution disgraces God’s temple and grieves the Holy Spirit. So, as a Christian, value your body as a sacred place where God dwells. Trust God to give you the power against immorality. Remember, you were not redeemed with perishable things from your empty way of life, but with the precious blood of Christ (1Peter 1:18-20). Therefore, put to death the old nature and its passions and honour God with your body.
