Honestly, the way you are approaching the site is pretty great. I feel like if you had an intro post you'd have quite a few more followers because your comments are always quality. Then again with all the resteems it would get buried. I'm hoping there is a way to separate resteems and blog posts in the future!

Thanks, I do sometimes fear I might be too verbose, and almost always have had issue with that on other sites, either with it just not suiting the way of things there, or with myself wishing I could be more in depth in my communication because there's literally not been room allowed for it.
But otherwise, I do think I took naturally to this site's layout, for some reason. I do like (love) to write, so. That's probably it. Give me the space and a decent prompting and that's really all I need. The fully engaged community is just an extra bonus. And that's probably what will keep me going once I hit a slump. Will be an open window for that needed encouragement.
I know. It's time for an intro post. And I have that same gripe about the feed. I hope they do improve that at some point.

Once you get up and running it's usually beneficial to be able to put what you feel on a certain topic into words, people here love engagement, it shows value when you don't have the voting power. I first got noticed by putting out good comments, all I had was one intro post, since then I've been posting 1-2 times a day and I've been loving the freedom to express

That's really awesome. And I can see that, you need some way to express what value you have to contribute. If comments are all you've got then you'd best make use of it. I hope I can follow along that same path, into posting. Your blog and writing did pique my interest at first sight, because I think you are very much doing what I'd like to be doing on here, myself.
I was actually talking to someone the other night about the difference of this site versus others when it comes to that individual expression. The difference, it seemed to us, is that people here aren't gathered into hash-tagged categories, as in you can't navigate to a Facebook group page and post out to a whole of people with one comment. People are forced to interact on a more individual basis here, and that allows for more depth of conversation (case in point right here with us) and that creates less likelihood of discussion from a stereotyped kind of perspective projected onto the other. And that's a good thing, imo, because I think having to connect on an individual basis might help us in getting a more realistic view of these certain societal groups or types of people. I mean, that is one of the biggest and worst issues afoot right now working its best to tear apart the rational fabric of our society. Rampant name calling, judging, blaming, entire groups of people, and often unfairly so. I think it's good that this space creates an alternative to that and can maybe be part of the work to fight that unfair and destructive trend.
I do think we need to value our freedom to express without censorship, wherever we have it, while we have, and to speak up and out for ourselves as individuals. It's something we have to defend and fight to keep our right to. It's good for us personally, cathartic, and good for us working together as a society, as you said, rather than against one another. I think, surely, what allows for so much of the hate on the internet to grow, or even exist at all, is this dehumanizing of interactions which creates some big bad incomprehensible other for us to abuse. So yeah, I'm really liking the difference. I've really enjoyed this conversation with you. I'm sure we'll find reason for more.

Apparently communities will be implemented at some point, so we may start seeing groups form up. I think overall it will boost the size of steemit, can't tell if it'ss be good or bad, but it will be easier to sort out content you don't want.
Freedom to express is vital!
I'm looking forward to what you have to say, I'm always interested in other individual's perspective . On steemit everyone is accepted, the only thing not tolerated is spamming and hate. Some whales get away with it, but eventually this should be done away with.
Great comment, I'd upvote more but running low! I was slacking at work today haha

Oh okay, but once the communities do pop up, I bet they'll be moderated well, or if they're not, we'll make them that way. Like you said, all is welcome here, except for spam and hate. (Who really would like Spam? Eww.)
I'm glad you're looking forward to it, because I had to stop today and write a whole set of notes regarding my first post. I think I have too many ideas. That's a good problem to have, so I'm not gonna whine. And yeah, I do realize that I'm probably getting all this inspiration because of the inclusiveness here. How great is that? And to think, I haven't even looked at your most recent posts. Just wait till after I've done that. I'll write a whole book, lol. I'm running low too. I've had my trigger finger on that upvote. And don't worry, I won't tell anyone you've been slacking. It's for a good cause. If anyone asks, just tell them they can go eat their vegetables.

Lol will do.
I was thinking we need a Spam meme to combat the spam, probably get sued though...
Awesome, good intro posts are usually the best bet for some upvotes, seems like there is a good group scanning them and upvoting and welcoming members, so the more detail and personalization the better. Just don't run on too, too long ;)

But I have so much to say! I think I'm going to end up with a lot of posts, honestly. Yeah the whole spam and bot situation on here. I've spent some time reading and have come across some intriguing and kinda perplexing stuff on the matter. I can't quite figure out who the good guys are. If that's an ever changing thing. I mean the whole site is ever in flux and so is the generally accepted idea of what it's about, and where it should go, and how it should be managed. Warring factions. That's what I'm noticing. And I'm not really much for warring...so. Hm. I'm pretty simple, intentionally so. I guess I can keep my own little corner of this space pretty nice and tidy. Emphasis on nice. I'm kinda nervous to tangle with those folks. Definitely not looking to get sued.
