Livin' The Steem: How 2 Anarchists Defected From the USSA to Mexico On Only $50, A Hope & A Steem

in steemit •  7 years ago

I had the opportunity to interview one of the most popular writers on Steemit this week, @lily-da-vine.

As you'll see, @lily-da-vine is actually both John and Lily.

But, far more interesting than the fortunes they have been making on Steemit is their story.

They fled the US because the government wanted to kidnap them and put them in a cage for 25 years for trying to help sick people by supplying cannabis which cured their issues.

They had only $50 in their pocket and no passports but managed to make it all the way down to Anarchapulco and since have started numerous new businesses and are currently making a fortune writing on Steemit!

The story is incredible and amazing and gives a lot of hope for many out there who don't have much money but want to live a freer, better life.

You can see it here:

If you aren't already you can follow Lily and John at @lily-da-vine . And, of course, you can follow me @jeffberwick for more interesting stories like these always posted first to Steemit!

A picture says more than a 1000 words 😆

I love turtles.

Once the turtle is willing to assimulate. If not then should be expelled.

The turtle may be slow moving but DETERMINED/PERSISTENT!!

Imaginary line? Pfft!

Lily is great!

Fascinating.

live a freer, better life..

One definite take away from this is that government can and does take way too many liberties away from individuals.

The so-called "war on drugs" is a clear example of this - and is almost single-handedly responsible for the ballooning of the US prison population to some 2.15 million people - by far the highest value in the World.

And the truth is that the very roots of the "war on drugs" are mired in fraudulent deceit. I demonstrate such adequately here.

It is a shame that due to such, these two individuals have to live beyond the borders of the nation that they settled in. May they never fall into the clutches of the enforcers of the true villains in office.

What a life story! :) Keep on with it @lily-da-vine guys...

I very much enjoyed your post Jeff.
Thanks for show casing John and Lily's story.

Hey, good luck on your journey in our fine community! I'll follow your account to see how you doing :). Please follow me @nakedchef89.

The vapid masses here in he USSA still believe this is the promise land. They can not and will not see the absolute American spirit in leaving the failed American dream.
My hat is off to this adventure. I can only speculate that, life is more rewarding when lived.

Well it's about time! I was wondering how many times Dan Dicks would have to interview them before Anarchast got around to it!

Wow! Such a wonderful story!

This is the perfect example of helping hands.
Fantastic piece of article

followed great content..

So glad they got out and made a better life for themselves.

holy shit you guys have balls man, Id be shit scared for a change like that, Good on you guys, very inspiring, seriously cant believe this is real

Wow, that is insane. It's sad when people who try to help others are treated like dirt. Is there no humanity anywhere anymore? I'm glad they were able to leave, though am sure it was with great sorrow. Am following them now as well.

In my state, canabis is declared illegal. If it is used for medical purpose then its fine.

John and Lily are truly inspiring individuals. Was happy to see their home earlier this year. A true testament to individualism.

I wondered who they were. Even though I haven't followed them I will from now on. It's nice to read positive news all the time on Steemit. Never get tired of all these positive stuff and a non-toxic community.

Expat life is the way to go.

This never hurt nobody! (picture of a cannabis leaf)

inspirational for the minnows

I can't listen to this until tomorrow, but dang, I guess the passport is only to get back in the US. And that wall, yeah, it's to keep people like these IN

I'm still finishing the video, but it has been great. Thanks for sharing it. They are a real inspiration!

Just watching now and found your profiles. Will be following and upvoting a very interesting story you guys have.

I thought it would be lily-da-vine you was talking about i read a post of hers about getting in police chases lol

Unfortunately there is no room for 'doing the right thing' in the black and white nature of the law.

I like to think that there was one police officer that simply looked the other way when seeing them about to reach the border to let them free.

All the best to John and Lily.

Great information!

Sooo motivating :) thanks and following them now!

There is a thousands and thousands of immigrants coming to United state off America practically without any money this people coming for American welfare not for American values

Steemit is the real deal and now I just have to jump ship and get out of this country. I have a steemit wallet because of @dollarvigilante, and I appreciate you, @jeffberwick

@jeffberwick HI, nice to meet you, I really enjoyed your post. thanks for your sharing

Steemit is better option, right? No more illegal business wether it is used in helping some people. Illegality is disobedience to constituted authority. Good testimony.

Thank you Jeff, you continue to inspire me, and that is why people watch your videos, we are all feed up with the governments. One day I must escape as well from Canada. Not only I'm feed up being a slave, but my body cannot handle winter, I actually never liked winter, I was just putting up with it. We all want to be free!!

Nice post :)

Being fro Detroit myself, and literally planning on doing the same thing with my girlfriend later this year,

I cant thank you guys enough for the inspiration!

scotty_ETH_donation_pub_addy

PS, Jeff, when is your rap video premiering? your dog walk videos are my new favorite thing fyi…

TDV4life

I love your story, im going to sell my car and move my business to Acapulco to get away from the Tyrranical USSA.

I'm confused by this story. I know some people from TX that fled to Mexico because they were wanted by the cops here. They were turned over to the authorities and dragged back for court. They were found by their credit card use. They ordered pizza.

Amazing story. Thank you for sharing.

Kota yang sangat indah,,,, semoga aceh bisa punya kota seindah itu,,,

Good interview as always, Jeff! Also, great job on surviving your trip and THRIVING down there u2! PROUD!
