I am relatively new to #Steemit but I can say that in this short period of being a steemite, I have found answers to a number of questions I have always had in my head and have also heard people ask. Using the word STEEMIT as a mnemonic I have listed the questions that steemit has provided answers to.

Share my thoughts with a community of intellectuals?
It's okay to share one's thoughts with people in general, but for me it's even more thrilling to know that my thoughts are being shared with intellectuals and really creative people like #steemites. I have seen a number of articles, pictures, videos and whatnot in these few days that have wowed me. To think that my posts are being read by this class of people thrills me.

Translate my creativity into money?
This is one part of steemit I have heard people talk about and I also appreciate. It doesn't get better. Does it? If I earn money for doing what I love doing then I am good to go. Steemit is the perfect place for this.

Earn by reading and commenting?
I have been reading posts on blogs, social media, journals, newspaper, etc and I've been including comments where possible. Fine, I gain knowledge doing this and I sincerely love it. But why settle for less when there is more? When I learnt that I could earn money for reading and commenting on other people's posts it was a stupendous discovery for me. Here I am living in this world where it happens.

Explain my innovation to people?
Sometimes I have this idea or I have something on ground that I want to share with people but don't know how to, especially when I have to write it. Having seen a number of post by steemites in the different categories I have seen how people have managed to do this and trust me I'm learning. It shouldn't be difficult for me to explain my innovations to people anymore.

Make more money and invest in the future?
This is one of the biggest advantages of being a steemite. Isn't it? Just last night around 2 a.m or thereabouts @anjiba the person who introduced me to steemit and has been my mentor was telling me so many things about steemit and steem. He told me about how to increase earnings and how to invest in the future. I could not thank him enough for bringing me in. This is definitely the place to be.

Increase my knowledge about many subjects?

In my introductory post, I included in the Expectations section that "I expect to gain so much knowledge by reading those overwhelming articles by my fellow #steemites". I'll tell you what? That expectation is being met I must say and very well too. I have been learning a lot by reading those wonderful and original posts by steemites.

Think very strategically about what to write?

Posting on steemit as I have observed is quite different from posting on many other social platforms. The reason being that this place is dominated by intellectuals so I can't just post whatever I feel like posting. Besides, I want my post to be upvoted, possibly resteemed and have good comments on them. This has really made me think deeply before posting anyhting and try to be concrete about what I post (I guess that explains why I don't have many posts yet). I say to myself "Is this good enough for steemit?" This is helping me to be a better writer (one of the expectations in my introductory post )
