Why we waste time writing posts that are never read!

Yesterday I wrote this article https://steemit.com/introduceyourself/@jefflumiri/new-members-plea and most of you will bear me witness. I got an overwhelming comments BUT surprisingly, only 3 out of 10 users who commented on my post read it. Thanks to @sneakgeekz he posted "I agree many people, me included come here initially to make profit. Most of those folks, unless a whale, will get discouraged and leave. Others will try to figure out how the platform could work for them. Many of them realize, like most things in life, this is not a get rich scheme. If you want STEEMIT to work for you, then you must be willing to put in the work and the time.

What has been working for me is trying to make real connections. Reading posts and contributing in a meaningful and relevant way.

STEEMIT is forcing me to get out of my comfort zone and improve my writing. Something I gave up on a long time ago.

Thank you for sharing this engaging post!"

Also thanks to @eastcoastcrypto he replied "I agree. but its all about the $$ unfortunately" @alexander.alexis "[-]

Well this is a sad state of affairs. Just today I was discussing similar concerns over how Steemit works, in this post: https://steemit.com/philosophy/@abishai/a-vision-for-philosophy-and-religion-and-steemit-overall

I didn't write the post, btw!

People should come together and try to figure out solutions on how Steemit might be changed to work better for everyone." BUT YOU CAN BET, the other six or so did not read my post. Can you imagine someone replying "this is very cool" or "Welcome to steemit. followed n upvoted"!!!!!!!!! I did my introduction wayback i did not want it to that post. I was expressing my concern.

PLEASE LETS READ POSTS AND COMMENT APPROPRIATELY.

That is a good point. I felt the same at the begging, but I promise you, with time, more good connections and the money goes back to its natural place while contnet is what matters.
There is money everywhere but in steemit the value is shared and thats new. It takes time to get used to it but its worth it.

Am learning. thanks for your advice.

I gave up posting real content for the most part it gets overlooked. It feels bad man, and my brain is like..

This is really serious. Steemit should look into this matter.

I totally agree!

sorry, i feel for you.

only 3 out of 10 users who commented on my post read it.

How could you possibly know that?

I considered the comments that the users posted. u cant welcome me on steemit just because i have uses introductory hashtag! common, it is all clear, wish you would have gone through the post that I posted and the comments I got.

Altho I didn't write that much post yet I still feel to much people are just putting up a pic or a vid and leave it to that. So if you actually write a post that makes sence and has some value it just get's overlooked..

sure. I think I will adopt to it.
