I am new to Steemit and had no idea how the reputation score worked. Thanks for letting us know. There is so much more going on and so much to learn with Steemit.

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards
  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling
  • Miscategorized content or spam
