HOW IS A TAG OR TOPIC CREATED IN STEEM?

When I try to search a tag that I created on my post it doesn't come up. Anyone else experience this?

    you should put your own tags, it will not seachable.

      I put my own tags and they weren't searchable.

        Have you tried using hashtags in your post then searching by hashtag instead?
