I don't think there is much harm. I may be naive to some sort of dilution this could bring upon but for new users it is good to see some people are willing to shed a few stem. It welcomes people to be friendly on this sight, which is much needed.

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards
  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling
  • Miscategorized content or spam
