Without a doubt, cell phones have become a fundamental tool to make our daily performance more indispensable, indispensable in our contemporary world.
Periodically, we stop by to check if we are getting the most out of our phone, and we look for suggestions and recommendations to fine tune your settings. Here are 3 simple tips for a friendlier and less intrusive cell phone.
Do not disturb mode
If you, like us, leave the cell phone on during the night, you should consider not disturbing during a certain time. This way, your cell phone will not emit sounds of any type during a certain period (in our case from 11 pm to 6 am), with the exception of incoming calls. WhatsApp ads, among others, can ruin a good night's sleep.
The procedure is very simple. Enter settings, then select sounds and notifications and finally Interruptions. Proceed to select the days when you want a little more peace of mind (it can be every day and only during the weekend) and then choose the schedule in which you want the filter applied to notifications (start and end).
Brightness adjustment
If at any time you are checking messages or emails and feel that the screen loses brightness without any justification, it is likely that your cell phone has the option of automatic adjustment of brightness. In this mode, if the cell perceives variations in the environment, it will proceed to adjust the brightness overcompensating or attenuating. To remove the automatic brightness option you can go to the top menu by sliding your finger vertically from the top of the screen or entering settings, then computer and then screen, to reach the brightness menu. Just click the box marked with automatic brightness, so that it is empty.
Screen lock
We consider it highly recommended that your phone has an access protection (password) for protection of the contents in case of loss or theft. However, it is sometimes tedious to continually type in the password each time the screen automatically shuts off. A simple option to reduce this rework is to change the lockout time after the screen is turned off. 5 seconds is the default setting for the phone. You can extend this time to 15 or 30 seconds and there is also the option to expand to 1, 2, 5, 10 up to 30 minutes. To proceed with the change, enter settings, then select the device option and then screen lock (look screen). At the bottom of this last menu you will get the option of automatic lock (look automatically), where you will find the different times you can choose.
I hope these simple tips can be useful.
