I am currently newer to Steemit than you were at the time of writing this and I appreciate the post with the links. I've already checked out a few and things are a little less confusing now. Thanks!!

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards
  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling
  • Miscategorized content or spam
