One life (Part II)

How do we define Success? through what society dictates or is it a definition of each human being? in such a case both, in a world full of social convecionalisms or social conformisms, many, in my case we let ourselves be carried away by the opinion of others, friends, acquaintances, and above all relatives. Codes of conduct, yes, understood and totally agree, but I think that life is too short to live under the rules and perceptions of others, with this I do not mean that you do not have to accept the opinions of others, negative or positive equally. What I intend to say is, according to what I have learned so far, that we should be and do what we are, and not comply with an imposed or self-imposed duty to complete a series of steps or tasks to be considered adequate or successful.
Having a natural talent for music and singing, I was in music and choir classes, highlighting in the singing area, a passion that has been abandoned so far and that I still feel deeply rooted, when we sing we release and express deep feelings through the lyrics, but the mere fact of emitting one or several notes with your throat, feeling how your voice flows is a fascinating experience. But when this passion is framed in what it said before, in a complete and total submission to public opinion and scrutiny, it does not flourish, it stagnates and even dies. Why is public opinion so important? Is this opinion the one that defines us or our qualities and aptitudes are defined by social scrutiny? A single negative opinion or indifferent to what we love can tear down any seed in which our passions, our hobbies, our being are leveraged. I am not a Psychologist or Psychiatrist but in my opinion these definitions are marked in our childhood, through the upbringing, I think that a parenting with excessive control harvests excessive controllers of their being and environment. Unfortunately, we can not control the world or other people, the only thing we can control is our perception and our emotions and reactions to what surrounds us.
How we react to situations is also under the public eye, we enter the court of society when we have a fit of rage, we give a cry or just bother us something that in the light of the opinion of others should not bother us, the acceptance of others As it is, it is a myth, very few people accept others as they are, and the rest are defined in two groups, those who say they recognize differences and accept them to adopt a diplomatically and politically correct position, although deep down they do it and those who defintively are faithful to their social convictions and standards.
And to all these, where is love? is supposed to be in everything we do, yes, but when our actions are dictated by the environment, when our decisions are made taking as a major reference public opinion, there is love in this? Yes, love the idea of being accepted or approved, but self-love, I do not believe.
