If Ned is really worried about the income of Steemit.Inc he should definitely place some little ads on steemit.com.
I don't see what's the reason why he doesn't do that.
I just checked the stats on https://www.worthofweb.com and those are amazing.
Okay, let's say these stats are not really exact and CPM will vary based on countries, but I am sure steemit.inc would earn over $100,000 monthly. EASY
(because there are a lot of page views and people spend a lot of time on steemit.)
What's your opinion on that? Is Ned too rich to throw away $100,000 monthly?
I understand that if you browse the site without being logged in, steemit shows indeed ads - I've tested it a few days ago and, lo' and behold, it was true! As soon as I logged out, the right-side bar started displaying location-related ads (in my case, for Luxembourg banks ...)
Can't say if that is still the case or was just a limited test, I seldom browse without being logged in

I seriously classify Ned as an educated idiot. He has like 5 times the vocabulary of even college educated people in first world countries but yet he can't make the simplest decisions or get anyone doing much of anything over at Steemit Inc. Just a bunch of empty promises and Steemit.com and the STEEM blockchain haven't really progressed that much since Dan left in early 2017. It has almost been 2 years of little progress from what was in place.
So many of us have voiced that just by placing ads on the Website would protect our money and time investment better and help pay for development costs.
At the end of the day he is likely one of these guys who never had to hustle to pay a bill and never had any sort of monetary concerns. He has always likely had access to money so he has no concept of real struggle because whether Steemit INC would continue to operate or not it won't change is existence that much. He will still live in a nice place and have nice things and have plenty of money to travel around the world.

Ads are a double edge knife. They can also be very bad for the community. It's something that should be discussed and not taken lightly. Steem is already full of voting bots. Imagine what will happen with CPM ads. And the people who will earn most of the money are the whales, not simple users.
