Fish cork is a kind of predator fish that live in fresh air. This fish is known by many names in various regions: bocek from riau, aruan, haruan (Mly., Bjn), kocolan (Btw.), Bogo (Sd.), Bayong, bogo, licingan (Bms.), Kutuk (Jw. ), kabos (Mhs.) and others. In English it is also called by various names like common snakehead, murrel snakehead, cheackron snakehead, striped snakehead and also aruan. The scientific name is Channa striata (Bloch, 1793).
