Venezuela will hold presidential elections before April 30 and with Nicolás Maduro as a revolutionary candidate.
This has been announced by Diosdado Cabello, military leader of the revolution, who has proposed the electoral advance after the sanctions imposed by the European Union. Chavismo will choose the most convenient date in the coming weeks, when the popularity of its leader is around 25% according to the latest polls and in the midst of the huge social, economic and political crisis that plagues the South American country.
