Me and Steemit and what works for us.

You have joined Steemit WELL DONE that's the best step you could take BUT if you took it because you saw the high earners and wanted that too then maybe you need to think again, unless your prepared to be patient and work hard, but there is no guarantee you will ever be as big or you could be bigger, Its all down to how much work you are prepared to put in

FOLLOWERS AND UPVOTES
Steemit is a fantastic place, mostly for the members, you want to make new friends, see new and amazing places, read about others lives and cultures then this is the place to be. Making new friends is how Steemit works, the more followers you have the more reads and upvotes you should get, not always true, it just depends who is online at the time and who see'e your post. I have 1404 followers but average around 50 votes on a post.

EARNINGS
When you join Steemit the best advice I can give is Do not focus on the money, Do not focus on what other members are earning Focus on what you want to write about, if you have a talent such as Art, Poetry, Photography etc then focus on showing that. I joined Steemit a year ago, my first few posts didn't earn anything, It took a while before I started to earn a few pennies, I love to write but at times I thought what's the point but then had a re-think, I was here to write and make few friends, if I make a few pennies then its an added bonus, I stopped focusing on the money as much and concentrated on my writing. Its took me a good year to get somewhere on here and where I am I am very happy, I am making a little and that's great for me, Others make a lot more but that's there blog and if there doing well then GREAT I am pleased for them

WORK HARD
Put in the hard work, Read others posts, leave comments that are about the post NOT Nice post,Upvoted, and definitely not followed you, follow me back or read my posts That is spamming and will get flagged where you will loose reputation quickly.
The high earners on here have worked hard, they know what they are doing, there blogs are fantastic, Don't ever get jealous of how well someone else is doing.

PROBLEMS
If your posts aren't doing so good maybe you need to look at your writing, formatting, what you are writing about, is it your own words, does it make sense, will members understand what its' about, OR are you just rambling, repeating yourself, have you formatted your post, include pictures, don't use big paragraphs, check your spelling. Reading a post that is formatted properly is an easy read, reading a post that isn't formatted is hard work and you will be lucky if members finish reading it leaving you with no vote. And \i can't repeat this enough NO SPAMMING

CONCLUSION
At the end of the day your blog is you, its about you its what you know so how you come across in your blog is how members will think about you, you want to be liked and get along with others then be polite and respect others work, you want to be disliked then be arrogant but you won'y last long on here as No one will want to read your blog. Be you and be real AND Don't forget to have fun
