5 Types of Steemit Posts I Always Upvote

in steemit •  7 years ago  (edited)

There are many great blog posts around about strategies how to gain followers, get more upvotes, and such. This is not one of them. I just want to voice out what types of posts I love reading that I always upvote and resteem. Unfortunately, you won't gain that much from my upvotes. So yes, you can go ahead and disregard this.

If you're still here, then let's start! I always upvote...

1. Guide to Steemit Posts

I've only been here on Steemit for a little more than a week and as anyone can expect, I haven't understood everything about it. I did of course read the white paper, the quick start guide and FAQ but the knowledge you can only gain from experience always weighs more. Thus, I always appreciate when other steemians write about tips and tricks on how to not only succeed but also enjoy this awesome platform in their own words.

2. Travel Posts

I love traveling and so, posts about other people's travel make me want to travel more. I've only been to a number of countries and I've been adding countries and cities to my travel bucket list since joining Streemit. I can say that I am a typical tourist who loves sightseeing, trying out local food, going to museums but I've found some steemians who are different kind of travellers. That's why it is always interesting to read their own experiences and the photos they took in the same city/country I've been to.

3. Motivational Posts

They may be quotes from famous personalities or your own advice on how to get through life, I will upvote it and most likely resteem. We all need more positivity in our everyday lives to stay happy. Maybe I'm just someone who gets easily drawn to motivational posts but resteeming such posts may also motivate and inspire one or two of my few followers.

4. Beauty Posts

Sadly, there are not enough posts about beauty and skincare here on Steemit. I always have to scroll way down the tag #beauty to find relevant posts and steemians who write about it. This is one of my passions but maybe Steemit is not the best platform for such posts. The more rare it is to find these kinds of posts, the more likely I will upvote for them.

5. Personal Stories

I would love to get to know every great person here on Steemit and their own personal stories help me do that. You don't have to get too personal, I also have some things I cannot disclose, but I always appreciate when you include little bits about you here and there. It proves that you are not a bot but a real human being, just like me, who takes time to come up with ideas, type and post them here. And somehow, it makes me feel that you really care about your followers (and when I notice this, I will follow you right away).

Like what I mentioned above, you probably won't gain much from my upvotes but if you push aside the financial side of this platform for a little while and treat it more as a social media platform (like I do), you may gain some insight from this post.
