Welcome! Honestly, the most important thing is to realize that this is very different from other social media. It's important that you focus on producing the best quality you can, interacting authentically with other users, and learn to really be yourself. And never post without a picture or video as it puts you at a huge disadvantage for voting! You have to fight for people's attention a bit. But.. people here actually give it, so it's worth the effort.
