It's not the post's ratings that hide some comments, it is the rating of the commenter. Some people have low ratings because they spam with a lot of unrelated comments or they are bullying people, so their comments are hidden or greyed out.

Keep posting, man! Watch for spelling mistakes and break longer posts into paragraphs. Don't forget to up vote other people's articles and comment on some, but make sure the comment is positive and is related to the post.
