How To Use Steemit Tags

Hello steemians, I will be discussing Today on the use of tags.

I have noticed some steemians still make use of some wrong tags on their post.

Many post of some new steemians has end up having low payout just because of wrong tags and it has also discourage them because they have spent much of there time to create the content.

I also make same mistake when I just started blogging on steemit, but I later spent some time in searching how to use tags.

Tag is were your post will show on feed for people view it.

If am to read stories, I have to click on story tag, to view trending stories to read and if you have write about any story and has use a story tag, your post can be view easily and get good reward for it.

Every post is limit to 5 tags.
The first tag will always show with your post on the feed and it can not be edited.
All tag should be on small letters and also separated with space.

How To Locate Steemit Tags

When you login on your blog you first click the option button at the top right side

Click on explore

Now you can see different tags, Post, Comment, and payout on the go post so far.

My advice for every new steemians that has just join the platform should try to scroll over all the tags on explore to get tags that is related to there content.

Introduction Tag

As we all know that every new steemians that just joined the platform. first post should be his or her introduction, so introduceyourself must be use as the first tag, it's just to show you are new to platform. Adding the name of your country on your 5th tag, will help in showing the country you are from.

Contest Tag

This are tags which is mostly use for contest. The tag indicate you are applying for the contest. It's not advisable to use it if you are not applying for the contest.

Here is a example of a wrong tag, all this tags don't exist on explore, people will hardly view or upvote post with wrong tag

This is the question that comes to every ones mind, when it's time to tag there content after writing.

Which tag am I to use?

Before you decide on tag to use, Its advisable to check the explore to see which tags is related to your content before tagging.

Using the right tags will help your post to get good reward.
