During his recent visit to Myanmar, EU Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management Christos Stylianides met with members of various religious and ethnic communities to discuss the humanitarian situation in Myanmar. The EU had provided extensive humanitarian assistance across the country after Nargis, Giri and the 2015 floods. EU humanitarian assistance benefits victims of conflict and natural disasters, wherever there are people in need and regardless of their ethnicity, religion, gender, age, nationality or political affiliation.
