Gotta have them goals!

I've been at this for just over 24 hours now, and most of that time was spent thinking about what I'll post next. Not only is this platform revolutionary in several different ways, it is also a tad addictive!

However, the one thing that sets Steemit apart from other social networks is the fact that quality posts get rewarded in a more substantial way then a blue thumbs-up emoji. It is that same rewards mechanic that fills the user with a sense of responsibility. When I post something on here, I have to ask myself if what I'm contributing to this community is of a good quality. To that end I have set myself a few goals to aim for during my first 30 days on Steemit. Here they are:

  • Have at least 75 followers at he end of the 30 days.
  • Have at least 5 posts with a potential payout of $1 or more.
  • Have at least 50 Rep (Not sure about this one, since I have no idea how fast Rep is gained normally - please reply with help)
  • Have an estimated account value of at least $10

These are not finalized yet, so please let me know if you think they are too high or too low, and please let me know if you have any advice on how to reach these goals!

Also, because photography is my thing, here's a pretty picture of a hill, that! I took somewhere in the Eastern parts of the Free State province in South Africa, nice and saturated.

If you put in the effort you'll reach those goals!

A by-product of this is now I take my camera with me everywhere I go, just in case. Just today I was asked if I'm a journalist. So yeah, I'm feeling the need for effort! Not scared though... :) ! Thanks for the encouragement! It is well received!
